Ridge capping: rebed or repoint?
If the old mortar bed is sound and the caps are tight, flexible repointing over the top does the job. If caps rock or the bedding has cracked through, they need lifting and rebedding first: repointing over failed bedding is a 12-month fix sold as a 10-year one. We'll show you photos of which situation you actually have.

Can you match my old roof tiles?
Usually yes: we hold and source salvaged terracotta and concrete tiles for discontinued profiles. Where an exact match isn't possible, we fit the closest profile in the least visible location and show you before fixing.
Is repointing enough or do I need rebedding?
Repointing alone is fine when the mortar bed underneath is intact. If the bedding has failed, caps must be rebedded first. We photograph the bedding condition during the free inspection so you can see which applies.
If the tiles are sound but the roof still leaks, the fix is often retrofitting sarking rather than replacing tiles.
